The Kababaihan Laban sa Kahirapan at Globalisasyon was a rally of around 8,000 women from different sectors. This was held in 2005.

Ipaglaban! is a powerful collage of women's collective actions. The statements on the streamers are actual calls from women advocating for their rights, emphasizing the critical role of women’s freedom in the broader struggle for justice and liberation.

A defining moment in this fight was Women Against Poverty and Globalization, an 8,000-strong march on December 8, 2005. Women from diverse backgrounds united in protest, stretching from the old Delta Theater to the historic Plaza Miranda in Quiapo—an emblem of resistance and solidarity.

By using embroidery, a traditionally domestic craft, the piece reclaims it as a tool of protest. It challenges conventions, transforming needlework into an act of defiance and empowerment.
