Pis Syabit became the official representation of the Tausug spirit and resilience. It became the symbol of Tausug determination and dedication in the face of adversity.

This Pis Syabit textile was woven by Saddala Usam Manahan who started weaving at the age of six.

Pis refers to the geometric pattern and Syabit stands for the hook and technique.
